The job
The customer Albion, MI - Local driver
Drivers will pick up all bills and paperwork for loads from the operations office, unless otherwise instructed. Drivers may be asked to run more than one load per day, as their hours permit. Loads may have more than one stop – some may have 4 or 5. Yard drivers are required to work Friday night/Saturday overtime shifts if the customer works overtime on a given weekend. Some drivers may need to start on a Sunday or work into a Saturday, as their load dictates. Yard drivers may be asked to deliver loads, as needed. Gerogia Pacific, for the most part, is a make & ship manufacturing plant. For
Good to know
- The customer is a corrugated manufacturer, meaning most loads are 25,000 lbs or less. With the exception of the occassional backhaul, drivers do not have to worry about being overweight. All loads are run round trip. While there is the periodic need for layovers, we do everything we can to try to make sure the drivers get home daily. Yard drivers are required to work overtime, should the need arise.
Keep in mind: If they are unsafe, late to work, late for deliveries, untrustworthy, undependable and have a bad attitude.
